OTP – The Mass Marketers Mindset
I Am Locustware (Cliff) – Dec. 14, 2018
Phantom traffic is ‘clean’ traffic… meaning, it comes directly from search engines. So by default it is the ultimate traffic source.
Any company that has lots of rules, phantom traffic can still be used with, you just may need to filter the traffic in order to meet whatever their needs are.
For example, I am engaged in a promotion where the affiliate program says that they do not allow search engine traffic…
So, i let phantom to its thing and then filter it via opt-in list… then, i email the people on that list.
End result, I am in compliance with that affiliate program.
Get me?
Where I used email, it would be the same if they only wanted facebook, twitter, or some other social platform traffic…. use phantom to get the clean/raw traffic, filter it into wherever you need it, then push out your promotion from there.

Side note: Phantom provides the solution before you run into the problem…. In other words, it gives you what everyone wants (targeted traffic).
When you have built something and it is getting traffic but not conversions, that just means that your audience isn’t who you thought they were going to be, therefore the offer you are providing is not converting.
The does not mean that your ‘traffic is bad’, to the contrary, it means that your offer is bad because there is no such thing as ‘bad’ organic search traffic.
So the solution is to research your traffic – try different offers. Everyone buys something. It is our job to simply put in front of them what they want to buy.
Conventional marketer thinking is “find traffic for my offer”… mass marketer thinking is “find offers for my traffic”.
