OTP Terminology

It’s very important that we all use the same terminology throughout the training so that we understand exactly what is being discussed. Also learning to use the correct terminology makes it so much easier if you are reaching out for support using the correct terms.

OTP – The Strategy (Simplified)

The OTP Strategy is to create a traffic network around a very specific niche/topic. This is done by creating 10 or more OTP websites that are full of great articles specifically for our selected niche/topic. OTP is a mass marketing strategy and requires our OTP sites to contain complete and full information about our niche/topic so that it is deemed an authority site for it. The articles created using the OTP Strategy are designed to attract the search engines. When the visitor arrives to the page, it will load an overlay which will be shown to the user over top of the underlying page with all of our content. The message on the overlay should display a tailored marketing message and call to action to lead the visitor to the offer page.

OTP-Evolved Software

OTP Evolved is the current version of the OTP software that will build these mass page sites complete with content according to the strategy. The software is run locally on a computer or remote computer. Once the software has created the project files, you then upload them to the location you specified when building the OTP Project. Uploading one or more projects to a domain is how you create an OTP site.

OTP Traffic Network

An OTP Traffic Network is 10 or more different OTP sites all on individual domains. All sites in an OTP Traffic Network are created for the same niche/topic with all having closely related Titles and Content. Our OTP Traffic Network will contain thousands and thousands to millions of web pages containing articles to cover all aspects of the selected niche/topic. In SEO terms, this is known as Topical Relevance. The goal being to create sites within your OTP Traffic Network that allow the search engines to fully understand your niche/topic and be considered an authority for it. In order to establish this authority, it is important to cover all aspects relating to your niche/topic including those that appear to have little or no traffic. So in creating your OTP Traffic Network, it is very important to research all possible pieces of information relating to your niche/topic.

OTP Site

An OTP site is one single web site within an OTP Traffic Network. These sites should be created on separate domains and not use sub-domains. After you decide what Titles and Keywords for Content you wish to cover on a site, you design the various OTP Projects that will be required to use them all. Once you have created the project(s), all the OTP Files are uploaded to the domain and folder it was created for. Each page created by the OTP Software will be randomly created using the Titles you have researched and supplied along with snippets of content that the search engines have already shown to like for your niche/topic. These snippets of content are collected by scraping the content from sites at the top of the rankings for the Keywords for Content that have been used. This content is what will attract the attention of the search engines and they will then start to show some of your OTP Sites pages in the SERPs. When a visitor clicks one of these links, they will arrive at the page on our OTP Site, it will load and an overlay will be displayed over it. On this overlay, they will find a marketing message tailored for them and a call to action that will lead the visitor to our offer. Depending on the competitiveness of your niche you may want to create more comprehensive (larger) OTP Sites for this OTP Traffic Network and/or adding more OTP sites so that you can really dominate your niche.

OTP Project

An OTP project is created by a single run of the OTP software. You supply all the information that you put into the OTP software and it creates all the files that you need to upload to your site. You can put more than one OTP Project on an OTP Site by putting each project in it’s own folder.

OTP Folder

An OTP folder holds all the files created for an OTP Project. This OTP folder name is chosen before running the OTP software and added to the domain in the Install Destination URL field.
Example: https://mydomain.com/myfolder

OTP File

An OTP file is each individual component that the OTP software creates for an OTP project. For example you will have image files, a titles file and a content file. You will also have files with code in them that make all the pieces work together. Some examples of files you will see are jpgimages.txt, titles.txt and head.php.
